The day-to-day operation of Parsons Presbyterian Manor is led by dedicated professionals who bring a wealth of experience and specialized expertise to their positions. As employees of Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America, our promise to you is to live our mission by:

Maegen Pegues, Executive Director

Maegen joined Parsons Presbyterian Manor in October 2013. Born and raised in Parsons, she attended Oklahoma State University and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Management with an emphasis in human resources. Previously, Maegen worked in human resources at Labette Health and Beachner Grain, and in quality improvement at Cytocheck Laboratory. In her spare time, Maegen enjoys attending sporting events, traveling and cooking.


Courtney Stangle, Human Resource Director/Accounts Receivable

Courtney became the human resource director in November 2014. Prior to joining Presbyterian Manor, Courtney worked for Labette Health home Care as a home care coordinator/human resource coordinator/auxiliary coordinator. She is a member of Young Professionals of Labette County and Southeast Kansas Human Resource Association.


Babette Collins, Social Services Director

Babette joined Parsons Presbyterian Manor in March 2014. She is licensed social worker and has a bachelor of science in social work from Pittsburg State University. She has worked as a mental health case worker for children and as a permanency worker. She has one son and enjoys spending time with her family and friends.


Sloan Dwyer, Marketing Director

Sloan started with Presbyterian Manor in May 2018 as marketing director. She has more than 7 years of experience in sales, marketing and communications. She most recently was a sporting goods store manager, where her responsibilities included customer service and satisfaction, advertising, and managing employees. She has a bachelor’s degree in the science of technology graphic communication from Pittsburg State University. She loves spending time with her family and shopping.


Ruth Haile, Dining Services Director

Ruth was named dining services director in May 2016. She has 30 years of experience in dining services for senior living as a certified dietary manager and a certified food protection professional. She also has worked as a certified nurse aide. She has volunteered with the Girl Scouts and as a coach in the Babe Ruth Baseball and girls’ softball league.


Kevin Cruse, Environmental Services Director

Kevin joined the Presbyterian Manor team in September 2018. He previously worked for the Parsons Fire Department, retiring as Battalian Chief after 29 years of service. He was a field instructor for the KU Fire Service Training Institute for six years. Kevin is an EMT (emergency medical technician) and has an associate’s degree in business management. He has worked in construction his whole life. Following his retirement from the fire department, he worked in maintenance for 7 years at Labette Health. He serves on the Parsons City Commission and is currently the mayor.


Jasmine Edie, Life Enrichment Director

Jasmine was named life enrichment director in May 2018 after working as a certified nurse assistant (CNA) at the community for more than two years. Jasmine loves to make the residents happy. Before she came to Presbyterian Manor, she worked as a shift leader at Taco Mayo. Jasmine spends her free time with family and friends.


Cherine George, Quality Assurance Nurse

Cherine joined Presbyterian Manor in November 2018 as quality assurance nurse. She previously worked at Wilson Medical Center as an ER/MedSurg/House supervisor. She also did travel nursing at Holton Community Hospital as an ER nurse and worked at Labette Health as an ER nurse for 6 years. Before becoming a nurse, she worked in cosmetology. She has an associate’s degree in nursing. She is certified in basic life support, stroke care, advanced cardiac life support, pediatric advanced life support, and trauma nursing core course. Cherine is recently married with two daughters. She enjoys traveling, fishing, and watching her girls play sports.


Kayla Schmidt, Health Services Director

Kayla joined Presbyterian Manor full-time in September as health services director. She has worked at the community PRN for two years. She has experience in acute care, the emergency department and surgery. She previously worked at Labette Health for nine years. She started her health care career as a CNA/CMA. She has an associate of applied science degree from Neosho County Community College and an associate of science degree in nursing from Labette Community College. She has a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Pittsburg State University. She is married with one child. She loves spending time with friends and family.


Nicohle Bushnell, Administrative Assistant

Nicohle joined Presbyterian Manor in August 2018. She previously worked for Neosho County Community College teaching the adult education (GED) classes for six years. She has a bachelor of science in family and consumer sciences in early childhood development and a minor in psychology from Pittsburg State University. She enjoys spending time with her two children and their two dogs.
