Maegen Pegues, Executive Director
Maegen joined Parsons Presbyterian Manor in October 2013. Born and raised in Parsons, she attended Oklahoma State University and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Management with an emphasis in human resources. Previously, Maegen worked in human resources at Labette Health and Beachner Grain, and in quality improvement at Cytocheck Laboratory. In her spare time, Maegen enjoys attending sporting events, traveling and cooking.
Sharla Hopper, Marketing Director
Sharla joined Presbyterian Manor in June as marketing director. She has worked as director of the Parsons State Hospital Childcare and a family and community involvement specialist with Head Start. She has a bachelor of science in organizational management and leadership from Friends University and an associate of science in early childhood education from Labette Community College. She completed her Administrator in Training (A.I.T.) program at Cowley Community College in 2014 and is pursuing her Long Term Care Administrator’s License.
Courtney Stangle, Human Resource Director/Accounts Receivable
Courtney became the human resource director in November 2014. Prior to joining Presbyterian Manor, Courtney worked for Labette Health home Care as a home care coordinator/human resource coordinator/auxiliary coordinator. She is a member of Young Professionals of Labette County and Southeast Kansas Human Resource Association.
Shannon Brown, Assisted Living Director/Medical Records
Shannon started in the kitchen at Parsons Presbyterian Manor when she was 16. After becoming a licensed practical nurse in 1999, she worked in health care before moving to medical records and eventually to the position of assisted living director. Shannon received licensed practical nurse training at Labette Community College and worked for a brief period at Missouri Veteran’s Home in Mt. Vernon.
Michelle Lever, Health Services Director
Michelle was named health services director in August, but she is no stranger to Parsons Presbyterian Manor or the long-term care field. She has worked as a CNA, CMA, LPN and RN, and she has been a charge nurse, MDS coordinator, interim DON, DON, state surveyor, and a case manager in both the hospital and home health settings. She got her Associate of Applied Science degree from Labette Community College and also has her certifications in CPR, ACLS and PALS. In addition to her broad medical background and experience, she stays very busy with her family and their many 4-H projects.
Babette Collins, Social Services Director
Babette joined Parsons Presbyterian Manor in March 2014. She is licensed social worker and has a bachelor of science in social work from Pittsburg State University. She has worked as a mental health case worker for children and as a permanency worker. She has one son and enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Janna Baker, QA Nurse Coordinator
Janna joined Parsons Presbyterian Manor in May 2014 as the QA nurse coordinator, infection control and lead wound nurse for the campus. She has worked in the medical field since 1999. Her experience includes pediatrics, home health, wound care and education. She most recently was a health careers teacher for Labette County High School. She has an associate's degree in nursing from Labette Community College and earned certification as a wound care educator in 2013. She is a registered nurse and a certified CPR instructor with the American Heart Association.
Cindy Wellington, Dining Services Director
Cindy joined Presbyterian Manor in June 2014. She has more than 13 years of supervisory experience in dining services. She received her Certified Dietary Manager and Certified Food Protection Professional credentials in 2011. She has worked for a number of senior living communities in the area before coming to Presbyterian Manor. Cindy believes every resident has the right to a nutritious and palatable meal served with a smile from an employee who knows the importance of what they do and is proud to be a member of the team.
Rick Donley, Environmental Services Director
Rick joined Parsons Presbyterian Manor as the environmental service director in November 2014. He worked for ServiceMaster at the Manor of the Plains campus in the early 1990s and was director of environmental services at other senior living communities before finishing his education. His background includes HVAC repair, building mechanical repair and housekeeping and laundry oversight. Most recently he worked for Johnson Controls Global Workplace Solutions assigned to the BNSF railroad account, where Rick was facility manager. He has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Central Christian College in McPherson.
Jaclyn Wertz, Activity Director
Jaclyn joined Parsons Presbyterian Manor in September 2013 and was named Activity Director in September 2015. She is a certified nurse aide (CNA) and a certified medication aide (CMA). She graduated from Labette County High School in 2014 and has worked to continue her education at Labette Community College. She previously worked at a licensed day care in Altamont. She also has her own photography business.
