We love our donors!

February is known as the "month of love" but it's about more than giving chocolates or roses to your sweetheart! It can also be a time to profess your love for those who make your life a little, or a lot, better. One such person we'd like to shower love on this month is community supporter Bruce Bowles. His generosity during our recent Good Samaritan Angel Tree campaign is the true definition of showing love to others!

“As a former Director of Nursing at a long-term care community, I saw first-hand the number of residents that struggled to make expenses and/or did not have any ‘spending’ money when it came to things they really wanted. It broke my heart, and I’m glad that I’m able to contribute to this cause and hopefully brighten someone’s day.

“It is so important to give back when you are able. Our elders have contributed so much to our society and to our lives that we must remember that in the twilight of their lives, they may need us to return that favor. Giving in this way is just one way that a person is able to do that.

“I just wanted to brighten someone’s day and make a difference in their lives."
