  • When is the right time to move into an Independent Living community?

Seniors often reach a point where they think about downsizing. Their house may be more than they want or, for some, able to handle. They might start thinking it would be fun to sell the lawn mower and move somewhere maintenance-free. The ideal time to move into an Independent Living community is when you feel the itch to change things up, but when you are still active enough to enjoy the lifestyle benefits of a senior living community.

  • What are my Independent Living options?

    We offer a two-bedroom duplexes.

  • Do you have a wait list?

Yes. To get on the wait list, you must submit a long-term application for residency.

  • Do you have additional storage?

For additional storage, we can direct you to convenient storage units nearby. In addition, we can provide expert assistance in downsizing. A move of this kind usually requires anticipating future needs and making some tough decisions about furnishings and possessions. In truth, you most likely spend the majority of your time in just a few rooms of your house. We can help you in planning. We’ll work with you personally to ensure the choices you make are right for you and consistent with the way you want live.

  • How do your fees work? Is it a buy-in or a monthly fee?

Monthly accommodation fees begin at $1,310, depending on the residence and finance option selected. Our campus offers an entrance fee with a lower monthly fee option and higher monthly accommodation option without an entrance fee. Paying an entrance fee up front is like an investment that secures your money and provides an ongoing guaranteed benefit of having lower monthly costs. We recommend you speak with your financial adviser about the best option for you.

  • Do I have to disclose all of my finances?

No. We need to see enough that we feel confident you can afford private pay senior living for the foreseeable future, but this does not require full disclosure of your finances.

  • Do you offer a meal plan?

Dining is an important component of our culture at Parsons Presbyterian Manor. We offer flexible meal plans with seasonal and always-available menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner so you can choose what you’d like to eat. Select the meal plan to suit your needs.

  • Is there parking?

Yes, parking is available for Independent Living residents. Residences feature one-car garages or carports.

  • Are pets allowed?

  • Are there social opportunities or activities in Independent Living?
