Introducing Alex Peak

Alex Peak stepped into the position of marketing director at Parsons Presbyterian Manor in January.

Alex spends her days fielding questions about life at Parsons Presbyterian Manor. She gives tours and conducts home visits with prospective residents.

“I’m their resource,” she said.

Alex also develops social media posts for the community, places advertising in local publications and oversees the content for each issue of “Community Matters.”

She lives in Altamont, Kan., home of Labette County High School, her alma mater. Alex is currently working toward a degree in marketing management at Western Governors University.

Alex lived in Wichita for a year, where she served as the volunteer coordinator for Kindred Hospice. She was familiar with the organization, as her mother was the executive director for the organization’s Parsons office for a time, and Alex spent more than five years volunteering in the office.

Alex joined the staff at Presbyterian Manor when she and her fiancé Taylor decided to move back home. She enjoys working with an older population again.

“I have a heart for older people,” Alex said. “It’s definitely one of my passions.”

The biggest challenge has been learning how the process at a senior living community differs from hospice, but it hasn’t taken Alex long to catch on.

The couple are expecting a baby boy in August, and they are planning their wedding for May 2021.

When she is not preparing for major life events, Alex enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She particularly likes relaxing poolside in the summer, her favorite season.

When she’s not working or doing schoolwork, she also enjoys reading a good romance novel.

If you know someone who might be interested in Parsons Presbyterian Manor, please refer them to Alex. She can be reached at 620-421-1450 or apeak@pmma.org.
